This is Milk Founder Angela Prentner-Smith, shares her start-up story and advice for anyone looking to start a new business. Where did it all begin for you? Right after my graduation, a position came up, that really threw me into the project world, where we were trying to deliver our services around the needs of the customers. In those days we were just starting to talk about user experience, digital customers and delivering end-to-end solutions in an online way. Over the first 10 years of my career I worked on countless projects, but I was continually frustrated with the lack of customer focus on programs. Me and my co-founder Gillian believed we could do better, so that was when we started to build the concept of This is Milk How did you begin the process of creating This is Milk?We started by determining our company values, where do we want to be, our mission, our vision, how were we going to stand out? We wanted something totally different. We wanted to be very simple, a breath of fresh air, as too often things are far more complicated than they need to be. The best solutions are the simple ones! How do you feel about your business today?From the starting point to here, there had been a whole evolution of the business and I could say, that I`m determined and I believe that what we are doing right now is the thing that I should do. Even when things have gone wrong, it`s been a catalyst for change and you need to make a decision to make things better and believe me, it has always worked out for me What advice would you give to those who are into start their own businesses?I recently did an interview with Product Forge where I did just that!
