Ewan Carmichael Equalities and Public Health Consultant Panel Session: Dark side of AI, bias amplification & the spread of misinformation
Ewan Carmichael is an equalities and public health consultant based at the University of Glasgow. He has extensive experience leading policy change for Scotland’s young people and other marginalised groups. As a member appointed to the Scottish AI Alliance’s Community Advisory Group, he collaborates closely with government alongside other sector leaders to design inclusive participatory mechanisms for building future AI legislation. Ewan also volunteers as Public Affairs Lead for Neurodiversity in Business, where he is working with stakeholders across the UK to promote neurodiversity-friendly workplace practices. He also serves as a Board Director and Charity Trustee for Alcohol Focus Scotland and Iriss.
