Three weeks ago on 22 April, we hosted our inaugural Milk Bar Meet Up here in the cells at the Orkney Street Enterprise Centre. We gathered three speakers to share their thoughts and experiences about Methods of Innovation with a crowd of forward-thinking minds of the Scottish business scene.

It was a great afternoon of coming together to chat away about how businesses can approach implementing innovation in practical terms. Our speakers discussed topics such as scrum, user-centred design, and what some of the most successful companies in the world are doing in the realm of innovation.

We're now happy to offer you videos of our three speakers in case you missed it or if you want a look back on what was said:
Jacqueline Barr from Lloyd's Banking Group talked to us about how scrum can help you deliver change in a more inclusive and cost effective way, as well as the importance of the out of scrum team in implementing what the scrum has built.
Ben Hutton from XDesign  talked about using  personas and user-centred design to create better software that lives in your pocket
Michael Hayes from Add Jam shared his experience with the Cross Creative Programme where he got to visit companies such as Facebook, Pixar, and Dropbox in the States.

This is Milk Chief Exec Angela Prentner-Smith said the following about the event:

"We are so pleased with the response to our first Milk Bar event.  The Milk Bar idea had its inception in conversations with like-minded people with a want for more conversations on the new, the innovative, where businesses could go.  We are so thankful to have found a first round of brilliant speakers that shared their time and intellect with us.  We can only hope to build on the momentum already gathering with our 120 Business Transformers for future events".
A big thank you to all our speakers and everyone who attended!

If you haven't already, join the Milk Bar virtual community for more discussion and collaboration around how to make businesses better.

Keep an eye out for our next Milk Bar and other events!
